Depending on the services required, we will propose a revenue share percentage (i.e. a percentage of the amount remaining after Sony’s cut).

Porting a game requires several distinct steps (“services”). Broadly speaking, they are:

  1. Design the trophy list: Procuring trophy names, descriptions, grades, and images.
  2. Register game across PS Partners sites: This step requires a PS Partners account; it involves uploading information about the game (storefront metadata, regional availability & pricing, age ratings, localizations, trophies, etc.).
  3. Implement gamepad support: Adding PS4/PS5 controller support to the project if needed, including virtual cursors.
  4. Implement necessary SDK features & files: Adding required PSN integrations to the project. Includes things like trophies, activities, identity assets, and config files.
  5. Certify and release the game: We perform QA, schedule a date for Sony to certify the game, and then schedule the final release.
  6. *Marketing activities: Sending game codes to a list of promoters that post videos, articles, and social media giveaways for the game. We also host our own X/Twitter giveaways. Promotional content gets tens of thousands of impressions.
  7. *Post-launch support (patches, promotional discounts): Fixing game issues that slipped through certification, and including the game in PSN sales every few months, causing a surge in sales.

*These are optional services that we perform complementary by default; you may opt out of them.

Depending on your situation, it’s possible you may not need all of our services; in this case, we will reduce our revenue share percentage.

GGmuks dispenses revenue monthly via wire transfer. Sales revenue for a given month is dispensed 4-5 weeks after that month ends. Each payout is accompanied by a Royalty Statement and a spreadsheet of sales data for the month.

Note: If you have your own PS Partners account and want your game to be published through there, you’ll be responsible for dispensing sales revenue.

The ETA is bottlenecked by Sony’s Certification Center slot availability, which often takes 3-4 weeks—sometimes longer. It also depends on the scale of the game. A smaller indie game can typically be published within 4-5 weeks.
